ABOUT ME
Michelle Macedo is a mixed race actress, singer-songwriter & identical twin. She was born and raised in Pasadena, Ca and is a graduate of Emerson College where she received a B.F.A. in Acting.
Since she has been back in action in Los Angeles she and her sister have been unstoppable in everything they do. She worked with director Eric Stoltz an indie feature film "Confessions of a Teenage Jesus Jerk". The sisters also recurred in the Netflix seres GIRLBOSS as a twin band called "Animated Discussion". You can check Michelle out in Season 2 of "Goliath" on Amazon Prime and as the lead in Indie Film "Every Time I Die" on Netflix along with her twin sister, Melissa, Marc Menchaca (Ozark) , Drew Fontiero (The Last Ship) and Tyler Dash White. The film premiered at Cinequest Film Festival and is now streaming on Netflix. It was deemed one of the “Creepiest Movies on Netflix”. The twins recently starred in the latest James Franco flick "Blood Heist" in Ohio. The twins also had a role in “Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe” (Dir. Aitch Alberto) which premiered at TIFF and opened OUTFEST 2023.
Michelle scored the lead role in the upcoming horror film “Thinestra” which explores disordered eating and body image.
Her special skills include guitar, piano and vocals. She has released three albums, and EP and many singles. Amongst them is album "Flags & Boxes" and was the debut of the identical twin duo, MACEDO, which put them on the map as a real contender in the music industry. Pantene Pro-V featured the twin duo band MACEDO in their "Beautiful Lengths" campaign.In 2020, the band signed with label PASADENA RECORDS and released single “Stronger Now” which climbed to the Top 100 Pop Charts all the way to No. 42 is in rotation on national radio like SiriusXM’s ‘The Pulse’.
MACEDO’s latest release ‘Block of Ice’ has propelled them into a new class of singer songwriters and garnered them a great deal of attention, also making it possible for them to perform their album at SXSW and many other festivals around the country. Paper Doll was featured on an array of tastemaker blogs such as LargeHearted Boy, Paste Magazine and BILLBOARD.
Michelle and Melissa toured with their theater company WORLD KIN THEATRE with a show they co created with Shaheen Vaaz. "Dirty Talk"tackles the spectrum of sexual intrusion at college campuses across the country. This show was based on over 200 interviews of survivors, allies and experts in the field and was featured in American Theater Magazine.
